Legacy[edit]
Monster RPG is running on life support kind of now. On Windows it uses DirectX 7 which isn't native anymore, and on Linux it uses dated libraries like xdga (x direct software rendering) and OSS (the original, now obsolete sound protocol on Linux.)
Engine[edit]
Monster RPG has its own unique engine based on a legacy version of the Allegro game library (version 4.) The code was reused from one of our abandoned games called Star Squatters.
