Allegro 5
About[edit]
Peter Wang wrote an event system that sat untouched for 5-10 years. Trent Gamblin took that and produced the first working builds of Allegro 5, the first Allegro builds with Direct3D support.
Controversy[edit]
Apparently the guys who made Factorio thought I was the idiot when they expected me to accept a patch that leaked memory. So apparently they paid everyone working on Allegro except me, the person who started the project and put in tenfold more hours than anyone else on it, fixing 95% of the bugs by buying tens of thousands of dollars worth of test equipment.
The Allegro crew then kicked me off of the GitHub page.
tjaden (Peter Wang) started the event system for Allegro 5 a couple years before I picked it up and made a graphics driver and working build. Both of us were removed from the Allegro 5 GitHub page.
Child Porn[edit]
Someone should investigate the Allegro IRC channel because when I used to go there, many of them were in favour of legalising child porn.
Rain Runner[edit]
Rain Runner was the first game made with Allegro 5, a demo written by Trent Gamblin.
CMYKilluminatiNetwork Games[edit]
Monster RPG 1 uses Allegro 4.
Monster RPG 2 and Crystal Picnic use Allegro 5.
